Fiber Nozzles – Product Description

Product Overview

Fiber Nozzles (also known as Fiberized Spray Nozzles) are high‑precision atomising components designed specifically for hot melt adhesive spray applications. They are widely used in the nonwovensdisposable hygiene productsproduct assembly laminating, and packaging industries.

The core function of fiber nozzles is to use compressed air to draw molten hot melt adhesive into micro‑fibers (typically 10–200 μm in diameter) and deposit them onto the substrate in the form of a fiberized web or a defined spray pattern. Compared with spiral spray or melt‑blown technology, fiber nozzles can achieve 20%–70% hot melt adhesive savings while maintaining the same or even higher bond strength.

Technical Advantages

1. Significant Reduction in Adhesive Consumption
Fiber nozzles employ advanced fiberized spray technology that stretches adhesive into fine fibres rather than continuous beads or spiral filaments, drastically reducing adhesive usage at equivalent lamination strength. The patented Omega™ fiber pattern can save 20%–60% of hot melt adhesive compared with spiral spray or melt‑blown processes; some UFD (Uniform Fiber Deposition) solutions can save up to 70% of adhesive.

2. Precise Control over Fiber Size and Spray Pattern
Fiber nozzles offer excellent control over adhesive fiber sizedensity, and pattern width. Typical fiber diameters range from 25 to 200 μm. Users can select from:

  • Low‑density, large‑fiber patterns – for maximum bond strength

  • Open patterns – to improve product breathability and absorbency

  • High‑density fine‑fiber patterns – suitable for heat‑sensitive substrates

3. Ultra‑Low Add‑on Capability
Fiber nozzles support extremely low add‑on rates. The minimum spray weight can be as low as 0.5 g/m²; for elastic strand coating, the add‑on per single elastic strand can be as low as 0.02 g/m. Precise adhesive deposition effectively reduces adhesive waste and lowers material costs.

4. High‑Speed Production and Intermittent Spraying
Fiber nozzles are compatible with high‑speed production lines, supporting line speeds of 10–650 m/min. For high‑speed intermittent applications, the on‑time can be as short as 3.5 milliseconds, and cycle speeds can reach up to 6,000 cycles per minute.

5. Non‑Contact Spraying and Excellent Substrate Adaptability
Fiber nozzles use a non‑contact spray process that avoids physical damage to the substrate. The fibrous adhesive distribution is uniform with strong adhesion, effectively enhancing product liquid permeability and softness.

6. Easy Maintenance and Quick Changeover
Fiber nozzles feature a simple and rational structure and are easy to clean. Some models adopt a single‑bolt mounting design for convenient disassembly and servicing. Modular designs allow fast parts replacement, significantly reducing downtime.
